Pro Surfer and BJJ Purple Belt Eli Olson (North Shore Oahu) Wins Big!!!
Oahu's south shore at Ala Moana Bowls welcomed 96 pro surfers to compete at the Local Motion Surf into Summer 2016, a World Pro Surf League QS 1,000 qualifying series event. At the top of their list was our very own Eli Olson, who cleared the waves with his natural flow and earned the top of the podium at the end of the day. It was a long journey for our surfer to get back to his 100% after his unfortunate injury almost 4 months before this event, but Olson embraced the grind and accepted the hard work that was ahead of him.

Olson put out a mix of different moves with great timing and flow and refused to do the same turn over and over again. He proved to the judges that he doesn't play it safe, but pushes hard to ride the waves. We're proud with his restlessness to get back in the water to do what he loves and gain some hard wins along the way. Rest assured that you'll continue seeing Eli Olson catching great waves all summer long.
If he's not surfing, you'll catch him training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Eli's a proud purple belt) or working with his personal trainer. For this competition, our athlete made sure not to force anything in his performance, it all flow!
